An Unforgettable Aerial Adventure in the Heart of the Vercors
Welcome to the Vercors massif for a unique vertical experience: the Via Corda de Choranche. Located on the majestic cliffs of Presles, this activity offers a perfect blend of vertiginous hiking and easy climbing. It's the ideal adventure for families and beginners wishing to experience the thrill of heights without requiring a seasoned mountaineer's technique.
In contrast to canyoning, which takes place in water, Via Corda is a dry, aerial exploration. You'll make your way along natural ledges (rocky balconies) suspended above the Bourne valley, offering breathtaking panoramic views. It's an excellent way to round off a sporty day in the region, just a stone's throw from the renowned Vercors water spots.
An Accessible Vertical Immersion
The route has been designed to be accessible to as many people as possible. Although the environment is impressive, progress remains fun and safe. You'll be roped up at all times, as you move along the limestone wall typical of the region. This accessibility makes it an ideal outing for families or groups of friends looking to share an unforgettable moment, suspended between heaven and earth, while remaining at a "Discovery" level of difficulty.
The Mythical Setting of the Cliffs of Presles
The cliffs of Presles are world-famous in the climbing world. The Via Corda de Choranche allows you to explore this mineral sanctuary without the need to climb difficult routes. You'll be following in the footsteps of climbers above the famous Grottes de Choranche, with a breathtaking view of the gorges below. It's a privileged way to discover the spectacular geology of the Vercors.
The experience
Obstacles and Strong Sensations
The Via Corda de Choranche itinerary is punctuated by a varied progression that maintains adrenaline without ever becoming insurmountable.
The Presles Ledge: The heart of the activity is this horizontal walk on a natural ledge. You literally walk along the cliffside, secured by your harness, with the void beneath your feet as your constant companion.
Climbing Sections: Some sections require you to get your hands on the rock (easy climbing), adding a sporty, playful touch to the hike.
The Grand Final (Abseil): The highlight of the show is a 40-meter abseil on a spider web. It's a spectacular descent into the void, mandatory to finish the course, which will leave an unforgettable memory for young and old alike.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to have climbed before to take part?
No, no previous climbing experience is required. The route is classified as "covered". It includes a few very simple climbing steps, but is mainly a vertiginous horizontal hike (traverse). A normal physical condition is sufficient.I'm afraid of heights. Is this a good idea?
Via Corda is an aerial activity with a lot of gas. If you have a real and paralyzing phobia of heights, this may not be the ideal activity for you. However, if you simply have natural fear of heights, the reassuring guidance of the guide and the permanent safety of the rope can often overcome your fears and allow you to enjoy the view to the full. What's the difference with canyoning?
That's an excellent question! Canyoning is practised in the riverbed (jumps, slides, swimming), while Via Corda is a dry activity on cliffs (walking, climbing, abseiling). If you like the abseiling of canyoning but want to stay dry and enjoy the view, Via Corda is for you. The two activities are very complementary, making for a complete weekend in the Vercors.EMAIL: contact@revedecimes.com
