Obstacles and Sensations

The Parcours Rochassier du Claps stands out for its variety. Unlike a classic Via Ferrata, where you're constantly on the rungs, here you're touching the rock!

Abseiling  (Up to 20m): The highlight of the outing. You'll enjoy the sensations of abseiling down a vertical wall. Important note: Abseiling is not compulsory on this itinerary, but a good grasp of the void is essential to get the most out of it.

Climbing and Via Corda: You'll cross exposed ledges and climb playful spurs, always in safety with your guide. This is an excellent introduction to climbing techniques.

Underground Exploration: The Claps chaos is full of caves and fissures. The route includes short, easy "caving" style sections that add a touch of adventure and freshness.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the route physically demanding?

This is an accessible route. It requires a good level of fitness (able to walk and climb for 2 to 3 hours), but does not require strong arms. The main difficulty lies in managing the height (gas) during abseils.

What should I wear?

Choose comfortable sportswear (soft pants or long shorts, breathable t-shirt). Shoes are crucial: wear closed-toe sneakers with a good sole, or light hiking boots. Avoid dress shoes or sandals.

Can we do this activity if it's raining?

The limestone may become slippery in wet weather. For safety reasons, the guide reserves the right to cancel or postpone the outing in the event of poor weather conditions. In hot weather, the route remains pleasant thanks to shaded passages and caves.
