Obstacles & Sensations
The Canyon des Ecouges (Partie Basse) is a veritable natural water park, offering a variety of obstacles rarely seen over such a short distance.
Must-see reminders: The adventure takes to the heights with abseiling descents of up to 28 mètres. This is the highlight of the trip, providing a safe introduction to rope techniques. Important note : Abseiling is compulsory to cross certain waterfalls; it is not possible to bypass them, but your guide will manage your descent.
.La Célèbre "Vrille" : You'll cover natural slides sculpted by the flow, including the famous "Vrille", a unique passage that propels you into a bubbling basin.
Jumps & Swim: The course is punctuated by jumps ranging from 2 à 6 mètres. Although spectacular, all the big jumps are optional and can be lowered on the rope if you want to avoid impact.

Your safety is our top priority. You will be supervised by state-qualified instructors who are experts in the Vercors massif and this special canyon. We provide top-of-the-range equipment to guarantee your thermal comfort and protection:
5mm wetsuit (jacket and pants).
Néoprène socks (to keep your feet warm!).
Complete canyoning harness and standard helmet.
Ropes and technical progression equipment.

The canyon is located in the commune of Saint-Gervais, a major gateway to the Vercors. Its central position makes it very accessible from the major regional metropolises:
From Grenoble: About 40 minutes' drive via the A48 and the Valence road.
From Lyon: About 1h30 via the A48 (Saint-Marcellin or Tullins exit).
From Valence: About 50 minutes.
MEETING POINT
The meeting point is generally at the Parking des Ecouges, located on the road leading up from Saint-Gervais towards the Col de Romey.

It is imperative to arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled time for equipment fitting. Please bring your own vehicle to the parking lot (no direct public transport).
