L'intégrale des Écouges is THE canyon of the area.

If you're looking for "LE" canyon in the Vercors, look no further. The Canyon des Écouges (intégrale) is a monument to canyoning in the Vercors massif. Located close to Grenoble, easily accessible from Lyon and even more so from Romans and Valence, this large-scale course combines alpine technique and aquatic pleasure in a grandiose natural setting.

This isn't just an outing, it's an all-day experience for athletes in search of adrenalin. Far from being an initiation course, the interior of the Écouges offers total immersion in a deep gorge, sculpted by thousands of years of erosion, where verticality meets the wild beauty of the Alps.

.

A Sporting and Technical Challenge

The intégrale is made up of two distinct parts, making it a complete descent. The upper section is a demanding, vertical, mineral world, with a series of technical abseils in suspended basins. The challenge is total. It's here that you'll experience the emptiness and grandeur of the site.

The Aquatic Reward

After the vertical motions of the morning, the second part (lower section) offers a more playful but equally intense experience. The atmosphere changes to give way to the joys of white water: sculpted natural slides, precise jumps and clear-water swimming. It's the perfect balance between physical exertion and the pure pleasure of canyoning.

The experience

Obstacles and Strong Sensations

The Canyon des Écouges (intégrale) is renowned for its variety and intensity. You'll experience a crescendo of progression:

Absolute Verticality (Abseils) : The first part is dominated by rope maneuvers. The highlight is undoubtedly the final cascade of the upper section, a vertiginous 70-metre abseil (often broken into sections). It's an unforgettable moment that marks the transition between the vertical world and the aquatic world.

Slides and Jumps: Once in the lower section, the pace quickens with natural slides (including the famous "Vrille") and technical jumps.

Magnificent Environment: You fly into a deep gorge with immense walls, a true temple of nature.

MANDATORY NOTE: This is a committed course. The big rappels are mandatory and cannot be bypassed. Previous abseiling experience (climbing or canyoning) is required for your safety and that of the group.
